5-Day Devotional: Participating in the Divine Nature

Day 1: Grace and Peace Multiplied

Reading: 2 Peter 1:1-4

Devotional: God’s promise is clear: grace and peace will be multiplied to you through knowing Him. Not just given, but multiplied—abundantly increased beyond measure. When you study God’s Word and spend time in His presence, you’re not meant to experience condemnation or confusion. Instead, expect an overflow of divine enablement and supernatural peace. If your Bible reading leaves you anxious or fearful, something is off. God’s Word brings freedom, not bondage. Today, examine what you believe about God. Does it produce multiplication of grace in your life? Let go of limiting doctrines and embrace the abundant life Jesus promised. You have access to everything you need for life and godliness—not someday, but right now.

Day 2: The Divine Nature of Faith

Reading: Hebrews 11:1-6; Genesis 1:1-5

Devotional: When God spoke, “Let there be light,” He didn’t wonder if it would work. He spoke from a nature of faith, and creation obeyed. As believers, we’re invited to participate in this same divine nature—God’s nature of faith. This means believing for what you cannot yet see, trusting God’s promises above your current circumstances. Faith isn’t about convincing yourself something might happen; it’s confidently believing God’s Word is true regardless of what you’re experiencing. God is pleased when you believe His promises because it gives Him opportunity to move on your behalf. What promise from God’s Word do you need to grab hold of today? Speak it out loud. Believe what you say. You’re participating in the divine nature when you align your words with God’s truth.

Day 3: Remembering What Jesus Has Done

Reading: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Colossians 3:1-4

Devotional: Communion isn’t about examining your failures—it’s about remembering Jesus’ victory. His body was broken so yours could be whole. His blood established an unbreakable covenant between God the Father and Jesus the Son, and you enter through faith. You cannot mess up this covenant because it’s sealed within the Godhead itself. When you forget what Jesus has accomplished, you become spiritually shortsighted, living beneath your divine reality. The truth is, you’ve already died with Christ. You’re already seated in heavenly places. This isn’t just future hope—it’s present reality. Today, take communion if possible, or simply pause to remember: Jesus took your curse so you could receive His blessing. Let this truth renew your mind and transform how you see yourself.

Day 4: Renewing Your Mind to God’s Thoughts

Reading: Romans 12:1-2; Isaiah 55:8-9

Devotional: God has called you to His glory—which includes thinking about yourself the way He thinks about you. If there’s a thought in your head about yourself that differs from God’s thoughts, one of you is wrong, and it’s not Him. Many believers struggle because they’ve accepted limiting doctrines, past words spoken over them, or self-condemning thoughts that contradict Scripture. Transformation happens when you renew your mind with God’s truth. Stop rehearsing your failures and start declaring God’s promises. You are a new creation. The old has passed away. You are forgiven, healed, delivered, and blessed. These aren’t aspirations—they’re declarations of who you already are in Christ. What lie have you believed about yourself? Replace it today with what God says about you.

Day 5: Moving Beyond the Donkey Level

Reading: 2 Peter 1:5-9; Philippians 3:12-14

Devotional: God can use anyone—even a donkey—to accomplish His purposes. But He’s calling you to something greater than merely being a vessel He uses. He wants relationship, transformation, and partnership with you. You can see miracles without having a renewed mind, but God desires more for you. He wants you to add virtue to your faith, knowledge to your virtue, self-control to your knowledge. This isn’t about earning His love—it’s about experiencing the fullness of what He’s already given you. Don’t settle for spiritual immaturity when abundant life awaits. Let go of past hurts, forgive those who taught you wrong, and press forward into everything God has prepared. You don’t have to stay at the “donkey level.” God is inviting you higher, deeper, and into greater revelation of His glory.
